A scam-safety card for the fridge

Most scams work in the minutes before anyone else knows. This card puts the rules — and your phone number — right where your parents will see them. Fill in the blanks, then print.

Before you click, call back or pay —ASK FIRST
  1. Never pay with gift cards, crypto, a wire or cash. Real companies, police and the government never ask for these.
  2. Never read out a code that was texted to you — not even to “your bank”.
  3. Hang up and call back on a number you trust: the back of your card, or one you already have.
  4. “It’s me, I’m in trouble”? Ask for our family code word. (Don’t write it here.)
  5. Urgent + secret = scam. Anyone who says “don’t tell your family” is lying.
